Welcome to Parents Paradise!
Parents Paradise is designed by parents for kids. How many times have you done it? Sat with your children, on a rainy day, in an indoor play centre and let your mind wander. We know we have…
“Wouldn’t it be great if I could get a latte or cappuccino instead of this instant coffee. How about today’s paper or a magazine to flick through? I wish someone would go and clean those toilets! And does everything have to come with chips?”
We decided to turn these dreams into reality to create a soft play area in Watford we as parents could be proud of. Parents Paradise play centre is designed by parents and kids, for parents and kids. Not by businessmen in suits who are more interested in their profit margins on coffee than supplying us with a decent cup!
As play centres go, we hope we have thought of everything, focusing on cleanliness, fun and safety. We would love to hear your feedback.
Thank you Nan and Grandad
We’d like to share with you a story as to how we become so fortunate to set up our business, Parents Paradise.
Our Grandad worked all his life for Addis. For as long as we can remember, he was always presenting us with a new toothbrush or presenting Mum with a new dustpan and brush! He and our Nan were always careful with their money, investing a bit here, saving a bit there. Our Grandad passed away in 1995 and Nan was left on her own.
She struggled living on her own in their 3 bed-semi in Ware (Hertfordshire). We spoke to Nan every day and went over to see her every week. She loved coming to the park with us, just sitting on a bench with an ice cream, watching the children play. This was hard for us, as you can imagine, as we both had young families at the time. In May 2006, Nan had a bad fall and broke her hip. This led to a lengthy stay in hospital and then Nan had to move to a residential home. She died peacefully in December 2006, aged 90, with us at her side.
Without the money left to us by Nan and Grandad, we would not have been able to achieve what we have today. We are so grateful to them for not only being able to provide us with the funds to set up Parents Paradise, but helping to secure the future of their 3 great-grandchildren, Gabrielle, Charlie and Hannah.
We do hope they are smiling down on us.
